About Us

Auditions Are Work is a grassroots organizing group of SAG-AFTRA members. Our immediate goal is to ensure union leadership protect and enforce the Audition Pay provision in our TV/Theatrical Contract. Our mission is to educate our fellow union members on our contracts, advocate for the rights of SAG-AFTRA members to shape them, and build performer power.

Our founding volunteers include SAG-AFTRA performers Vanessa Chester, Tavi Gevinson, Thomas Ochoa, Christian Telesmar, and Caryn West.
